I Make Everything HQ is situated on a lovely hillside near Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in a new build (half built) straw bale and timber frame house set in a large, beautiful garden.
If you are considering booking on a course taking place here, there are a few things you should know.
It is my home as well as my workplace and teaching space, and it is very much a work in progress. I am in the middle of building the house from scratch and so there are, shall we say, idiosyncracies about the place.
There are many unfinished wall, floor and ceiling surfaces, so it looks a bit of a mess, but hopefully it’s obvious that it will emerge as a beautiful home from this very long-term building process.
It currently does not have a finished kitchen but more of an indoor camp kitchen, though we are hoping that this is not forever!
There is a flush toilet as well as a composting toilet (which is not actually as rudimentary as it sounds).
The place is charmingly rustic in appearance. That’s a way of saying it’s unfinished and looks like a building site. Hopefully you will find this interesting and not trip over too many power tools.
Coming from far away? We can pick you up from the airport (Manchester or Leeds) and drop you off when you go.
Though accommodation is not included in the price of the course, we are happy to allow guests to stay on site by arrangement. Please mention it when you book your course.
We have a cat. He’s called Jack and he’s the friendliest cat I’ve ever known.
Please get in touch for any other information you need or to ask questions about a course. We hope to see you soon!
